help with eibach springs

hey guys. I jsut got my springs yesterday. I heard that u dont need a spring compressor to put on the ebiach spings. Is this right? And do i need a Spring compressor to take off my factory springs?

You can get away with alot of things, but it's definitely suggested to use a spring compressor for both removal of springs and installation. It's up to you though.

yea. jsut called a few places. And one of them were saying that i will need some struts to go with them. That the factory struts will are not stiff enough. So ill get some new struts. Guy was saying that was the best way. 120 for 4 struts. not bad But labor and align. wow. 300 bucks.

i used a compressor. oh and piranas website had a pretty helpful article on instlling lowering springs. also he lives in texas maybe he will help you.

I had no clue how to install springs and I was watching a couple of guys from the board do my eibach springs hoping to learn some things. I still have no clue how to install them.

Guys, you should not replace your stock springs with stiffer aftermarket springs unless you want to wallow down the road like your local low riders. Lowering springs may make your car look cool but it will decrease your handling on rough roads. If you only wants looks go for it, but if you want good handling get both struts & springs and don't lower you car more than an inch.

Never remove your springs w/o a compressor. Your life is worth more than the cost or the extral effort.

crash is right use the compressor and i like my prokit. just know that when you get close to two inches you chance blowing you strut the gas is all compressed and there is no dampering thats why lowered civ go bounce bounce bounce insanly to much.
1.8 is a little much its not that bad. ill find that link on lowering the car. and please get a spring compressor.

also no that sicne its 1.8 in the back when you have subs or anthing like that its adds to the load. just keep struts as a future mod.

hmm...the guy was saying that if i put the springs on my factory struts my car will be bouncing like a low rider. So yea im waiting to install them. So i can get some struts. Gas struts that are more stiffer. Im goin to call around see whats the best price i can get on some.
