I say bust. I hear so many people saying stuff like this. You are wasting everyone's time by posting questions like this. There are two types of people, people that talk big, and people that go big. Mosty people will come on this forum and ask stupid questions like "hey do you think I should get some forged internals and put a huge turbo kit on". Then when they go to asking around for prices they always back out. Just ask spoolinmp3. I see it all the time. I like to call them "bullshitters". Because that's all they are. They will never have a turbo, but they will always be "about to get one pretty soon", but they will mysteroiusly never actually get it. What do you think will happen if you install all those parts you've listed. I am pretty sure any kindergarten student will know that you will have over 200hp, maybe close to 300. But who cares because you will never do it. I see so many posts like "what kind of power will I get from high comp. pistons and a CAI and this and that and this and that and cams and this and that". None because you are never going to actually do it. So unless you have something relevant to post, shut up. Sorry but I'm kinda in a bad mood this morning and bullshitters piss me off.

Ouch....Ben You having a bad day? You do have a point though.

Either way BlueDevil.....It would be great if you did it. I would recommend staying away from high compression pistons if you're going to go with some kind of forced induction.

That's my whole point. Someone who has the money to do this kind of project would not be driving this car. Why even give input on this when he won't do it. If you have to ask how that setup will work out, obviously you don't have any knowledge of engines or cars for that fact.

Hey guys, how about this setup. Allison turbofan engine in the trunk, running pure kerosene and extra RATO bottles on the side of the car. What do you guys think? Can it be done, maybe I'll start saving my money now! Does Greddy make a kit like this? How about Flyin Miata? I heard they were working on a turbo fan in the trunk kit. How much do you think it will cost? $500? A 50 shot of nos is about the same price right? Which should I go with. Come on guys, give me some input here. I'm really thinking about doing this project. I could have bought the new M3, but I'd rather buy a $18000 car and put almost $20000 into it and still not be able to beat a Corvette or M3.

So what if he's not going to do it. It's still worth discussing...why NOT just kick it around? If YOU don't wanna waste your time discussing things, then don't.

I remember a thread about a 200+mph monster protege...and I'm sure NO ONE will do that...but it turned out being quite the long thread. Lay off the guy, ben. Go milk the cow and come back.

I was the first one who said it will not be done. The project will probably never happen.
I don't know, it just kinda annoyed me when I saw this thread posted twice and it is a stupid thread to begin with. Do you really think that it is worth discussing someone asking if 11:1 compression will work with a FI motor? If you know anything about motors at all you will just laugh when you see that.

Well, if they won't work, then HERE'S the place to tell him why not and how it all works. I learned a lot from here...it's the purpose of the forums.

Also, not to break stones, 11:1+F/I can work (maybe not in our car), but I've heard of hondas with 11:1 AND turbos making crazy HP. I think there was a SCC RSX type S w/ a turbo that had sick HP...and I THINK that the type S is 11:1.
 
Look, I'm not just trying to be an asshole, but it just kinda annoyed me like I said before. Yeah this is the plsce to learn stuff, but any car using that kind of compression will only be on the drag strip and it will be funded by multiple sponsors because the head gaskets will be replaced after every other run down the strip. On a street driven car, high compression will not work unless you are running VERY low boost. And that type of very low boost will be of no use on low end hp, it will only help upper end hp. But like I said before, no one on this board will ever do that unless they are rich or have multiple sponsors with deep pockets. If they are rich, they wouldn't be on this board because they would be driving a much better car. I know I would.

Sorry I am trying to give you gyys the full effect of NOPI in all its NOPIness. I will figure out a way to shrink it. What do you think, other than just the size?
 
Looks good! You should extend your front lip. It's easy to do, and it makes it look so much better.
 
All you do to extend the front air splitter is take it off, measure about 3/4" to 1" behind the original holes, drill new ones and re-install it.

i called area 51 and vortech supercharger, vortech is considering working on a supercharger kit if thiers a market for us mp3 and p5 owners and as for area51 their kit is coming out in late dec. early jan.
