HELP! Sooty Exhaust New MS3 1700 miles

My new MS3 has a heavy black powdery soot in my tail pipe. What could be wrong with the car?

My car had a jet black, soot loaded exhaust at 170 miles. And the car has yet to go above 4000rpm.

I have appointment to bring in car for curtesy 1500 mile check up. The Mazda Sevice Department. They had to replace the Navigation system it did not work at all when I took delivery. Why did I accept it then? Love at first sight. (lick)

Well then they have to change it on the warranty. But that means the other guy who said it is the same on his car has a bad turbo as well.

YES I see your PICS and mine looks exactly the same. My Car runs great and I am not slow with it. It has handle more than I have pushed it so far. The turns get a little scary esp when the DSC kicks in LOL (drive)

Put that 3 inch down pipe on and see what happens. LMAO! You will fill an intersection with that stuff waiting for the light to change, horrible but what a HP gain.

thats why they have the "DSC off" button for, thats when the fun really starts

don't worry unless you see soot when you open the hatch!! that would not soot me.

+1 that it's completely normal to have soot. Welcome to the ms3

Now, if your car starts to bellow out a visible and constant plume of smoke when idling, then worry about turbo problems.
