Hey all, on the way to a friends place tonight I noticed that my parking brake light lit up. I came to a stop, engaged parking brake, disengaged and it went off. Then when I started driving again the light would randomly go on and then shut off. I tried to do different things to replicate it, but have had no luck so far.

HELP! Has anybody else had a problem with this? I installed speedbleeders a few days ago, but that has nothing to do with the parking brake so I think that is irrelevant.

the brake light also comes on due to issues with brake fluid, so the problem could be with the speedbleeders.

The problem ended up being the speedbleeders. After work today I put the car up on stands and took all the wheels off. Right away I noticed that the front right wheel had a weird look to it. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that brake fluid had been leaking out and had dripped onto my wheel and ate away at the protective finish. Just to be safe I removed all of the speedbleeders and thread sealant, applied new thread sealant and re-bled. After I was all finished and drove around, the brakes felt 100% better. Firm brake pedal when pushing it, not mushy like before. I can only imagine why, everytime I was pressing the brakes before, fluid was being sprayed out of the front right caliper.

So just a word of advice to those who put on speedbleeders in the future. Make sure to put PLENTY of thread sealant on the bleeder valves before installing them. Thanks every1 for all of the input.

well that's scary! Good thing you decided to check sooner rather thank later....
