Hi guys,

I hate for this to be my first post, but I am a fellow CX-5 owner and have not had time to post up a proper welcome/build thread (it's coming!). I am doing a project for class and would love some feedback. It should only take a minute and would help me out tremendously. Thanks in advance!

I found this OEM cargo organizer for another thread a while back and decided to use it for my business entrepreneurship/feasibility class. It looks really neat and useful, but it is not available in the US and costs $250.

--Poll--
If this were available as an OEM accessory for your vehicle, would you:
- Buy it from a dealer for $250?
- Buy a similar aftermarket version for $150 instead?
- Buy a simple, generic, universal-fit cargo organizer?
- Skip cargo organizers completely - you don't use them?

--Optional--

- What is your main use for this product? (general organization/storing camping, fishing, or hunting gear/road trips/just cool to have/etc)
- What is your main reservation with buying this product (cost/safety/don't see a need/etc)
- Here's a surveymonkey link but this is again optional. Just your initial feedback would be great!

Thank you!!!

I actually have a $20 organizer I bought from Amazon made out of vinyl with two compartments that pretty much holds everything in place and I have the OEM rubber mat so it does not slide all over the place. Can't justify paying $250 for something so small, even $100 is too steep.

I have the rubber mat and that is all I really need. As far as that organizer goes, it is nice looking, but I bet the base board holes would get filled up with stuff (like dirt or sand) and become unusable at some point. Not sure if it is rubber or not, but I really like my rubber mat with a lip all around to contain any spills. Anyway, that's my 2.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the feedback. Earlier survey of my friends, family, and classmate suggested little interest above $125. If the feedback is the same on an enthusiast board then I think I have my answer. Would love to hear more thoughts though.

I opted for the OEM cargo tray to protect from liquid and/or dirt spills. If there was some way that you could incorporate the all-weather protection into your organizer that the cargo tray has, it would definitely catch my attention. I think that you are onto something though. Keep up the great work!

I have the Rola 59001 M.O.V.E. Rigid-Base Trunk Organizer. $60 from Amazon. It's awesome and very flexible.

Same here. Works perfectly.

Cargo Organizer with tow large section divided by vinyl covered stiff something and works great (and folds flat when not needed) for about $12.00 from Auto Zone. I have had many Cargo Organizers and this one has been the best and the price was great. Holds 4 large paper bags plus additional room in it too.
