DOes anyone know where or who I can talk to about remapping an '03 ES ECU to the MSP fix map? Can this be done? I really need to get my hands on a MSP fixxed ECU. I currently have the non-flashed version in my car and my old ES ECU. I'd like to flash my old one and then swapp them in the car. PLEASE HELP!!

hmm...the problem with this is that you are really gonna have to rely on a dealer, since noone else can do it..I would try to find a cool guy at the dealer, bs with him for a while, then ask him what he can do for you

I really cant think of many alternatives..besides goin to the junkyard

Okay, calm down. :) that was a jumble.
What ECU do you have in your car? What do you want in your car?

You cannot remap the factory ECU to do anything, if that is what you are asking. You will need a piggyback or standalone system. We do not have programmable (at least by ourselves, the dealer can do it [flash]) ECU's.

I have a 03 MSP ECU in my car. I also have my old ES ECU in the garage.

I want the flashed version of the MSP ECU.

Since I don't have an MSP, I cannot take my car into the dealer to get the flash fix for the MSPs.

What I'd like to do is use my car as is now, get my old ECU flashed to the MSP fix and then swap the ECUs.

Make sense?

So, does anyone have a Mazda Tech friend or someone else who do help me?

loook..this is alot easier than you thnk..

find someone with a MSP...put your MSP ecu in his, then have him go get it flashed and just swap them back..

you dont have to use the old protege ecu at all

Nice one Joe, I was going to say swap the casing on the ECU very carefully, and just bring in the ECU for a flash. Most likely wouldn't fly ("where the **** is the vehicle?"). Swap with an MSP owner and it should be done no problem.

Good idea, but doesn't the dealership keep track of which MSP have already been flashed?

do you really want the advanced timing the new ecu has ? whats the problem with your car that u want it flashed ?
