Re: gauges. Sure the Audi might be really cool, but as M pointed out only the luxury brands are really pushing the envelope here. I don't expect an Audi dash (currently only available on the starts at $43K Audi TT) on my car that starts at $25K.
I would like more info in the dash...I did have an info screen on my 06 Saab and it had more info (including an alarm) them my 16 Mazda has, but I really like the white analog gauges built in to my car. I think it actually looks kind of lux. They look better then Jeeps analog dials by a bunch. Mazda easily could have done what Jeep did: analog dials with a lot of information available in the info screen, including mph. But I sincerely doubt very few people bought a Jeep, or a CR-V because of the dash. I know I'm wrong though. Mango is an automotive expert.
