I'm sorry, but they look more or less the same to me.
Tune? Pretty sure the average CRV buyer would not care to tune it. If you were a Honda salesmen you'd be a pretty crappy one LOL. You tell em' about the cupholders, CVT, and they should get one because every one else does. I mean that's why you're here right? To tell folks the CRV should be the only purchase they should ever make. no matter what.

What is the largest mammal in the world?
A. Blue Whale
B. Brown Bear
C. CRV
D. Horse
Ummm I know this. The answer is C. CRV. Final answer.
It's an appliance that can be tuned for more power and performance, not that I would but at least the option is there. No one is saying it is a race car. Never did. Lets not spread fake news...
I know the lackluster performance of the CX-5 in comparison to the CRV is making you guys salty, you'll just have to deal with it. Honda has managed to increase power, handling and fuel efficiency while Mazda has somehow gone backwards. That's not opinion, THAT'S FACT.
And we can talk about looks/style all we want but we all know style is subjective. Besides, what does it say about the CX-5 that not just Motor Trend but a few other online auto publications think the 'butt ugly wide behind' appliance/box on wheels CRV is a better overall vehicle than the CX-5? Pretty sad considering most of these car companies are full on enthusiasts, they're supposed to pick the CX-5. The fact that they are not is very telling.

My neighbours, one of them has a 18 year old boy, other has a 13 year old.
Today the 18 year old won a running race over the other 13 yo.
18 yos father is celebrating like crazy.
Replace 13 and 18 yos with CX5 and CRV. Have fun.

Really the only decent angle for the CRV to me. Still pales to the CX5 obviously.

Yep, basically said that earlier. It got avoided, except for the chrome, and that fits right in as well.
Odd. The CX5 was the only car that I test drove that I didn't know anything about yet I think it's fast enough for me. Not sure why you would assume something so ridiculous. #littlemansyndrome ?
Move over NSX, there's a new speed demon on the block and it goes by CRV!![]()
I'm not sure if I should be happy for Honda for figuring out how to break the 8 second mark, or angry at Mazda, or just not really give an eff. I feel like I should care but the car really feels fast enough.
But lets continue (deadhorse)
If I understand correctly, the change in 0-60 between 16 and 17 is only relevant to people who would drive with traction control disabled. I'm pretty sure I would leave traction control on if I had a 16, in which case the change doesn't really matter.

Nelson, I think you need to see the CRV in 4K to really appreciate its beauty.Honda did Reinvent Value!

I agree, but they are very similar. The CX-5 is definitely sleeker, though.
