So i have a 2004 rx8 and went through the car wash today and ended up with soapy water filling half of my passenger side tail light.

Can anyone help me fix this?.... in simple terms

This is a common occurrence. The tail light gaskets fail and leak. Just needs to be resealed. Mazda may or may not cover it, just depends on your dealer.

Also some have drilled a couple pin holes in the bottom of the housing to drain it, but I would not recommend it.

I pulled my tail light off, blew a heat gun through the bulb holes over and over to get rid of every last drop of condensation, then used Mazdas new gasket. Haven't had a problem since.

They refused the warranty work on it though. So I had to pay for the part.
