Help! Heat/temp for popping off shift cable? - 2012 Mazda5 M/T

Open to suggestions -- Been trying to remove the shift cables off my 2012 Mazda5 M/T shifter assembly to replace the assembly.

Got the inner cable off, but the outer with the red clip isn't budging. Tried spraying extra lubrication; No luck.

It's been cold here (20s-40s). I'm wondering if blasting the plastic with a heatgun would help. --Hot enough to soften the plastic so it doesn't shatter when I try removing the cable again. Not sure of temp range tho.

What temp would you start at and climb to? 100-150 F??

Has anyone else had trouble and removed this successfully? If so, so?

Thank you!

I know ABS melts for 3d printing close to 400 but I would keep closer to under hood temps to avoid damage. Your range sounds safe.
