Help! Can't open infotainment upgrade file - What am I doing wrong?

Hi all, I have recently been given the link to upgrade my UK Mazda 3 (2018) infotainment system from the 59.0 version to the 74.0 version, however I need help getting it to open so that I can put it on a USB stick and start to do the upgrade. The link has downloaded as a UP file type and there is 2,375,204KB of info downloaded in the link, the trouble is it doesn't show up like a standard download would with named files in there like a Failsafe file and an Upgrade file ! If I drag it onto the USB and click on it it just takes me back to a Microsoft edge page.

I don't know if there is something I should be doing with it to see the contents of the download and I can't seem to find any info online about UP file types.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks MickyLove

You don't need to open the file on your PC
Just pop it on the USB (make sure the USB is formatted to FAT32 and is 16gb or under) and you'll be good to continue


I have heard though that it's recommended to upgrade to 70.00.100 first though, so might be worth researching a bit on that

The file size seems right to me, exactly the same as the file I got.

edit: you don't see a failsafe file because 74.0 is a single file update

Thanks for the help. I've done the upgrade now. I'm not great on computers
