That being said, that doesn't make anyone who drives that fast on a public road any less of a douche with little or no common sense.

haha....i know is bs to drive that fast....but just have fun sometimes..there's one feeling drive fast in a track....and there's another feeling drive fast in public road....thats y some can be real racer...and some can only be street racer.....it just depend on what u think...and how u feel....hehe....^^

Hmmmm... OK, just for the sake of argument...
There's a really sweet stretch of highway on the Oklahoma turnpike, 3 lanes, and you can see ahead for miles, literally. You can see that there's no police set up with radar/laser, and the road is clear... so what's wrong with hitting some max speeds there? Any different than the autobahn, safetywise?

Like everyone says, do not speed. But you might wanna check a few things to see if regular perfomance is being hindered, but you do not realize it. Check your plugs. Replace them if you cannot remember when you last did them.
Last year, another guy had the same problem. Turned out to be he was getting gas a crappy station. He switched locations, and the problem was resolved. The problem could be as easy as bad gas.
Also, check your air pressure. If it is too low, and you are going too fast, they might blow out.

i have an auto P5 and no mods yet...i've gotten her up to 120 +/- coming home from boston to philly...never had a problem breaking 100...but i have heard of speed limits on cars from the factory...stumped (boom07)

Actually, there is. The Autobhan has a much thicker foundation than our highways. This provides a more uniform surface. Also, it is much straighter and flatter that our highways.Mmmmmken said:

Hi, I have gonne over 100mph easy, actually I think the fastest was 123 then I had to slow down (you never know on I93 South to Boston the cops). All I have on the car is dropp in K&N and my heavy foot!! Or if you really want to go over 100 in a few seconds get an R1 and you can hit 174mph on a small strech of highway!! (hah)

The Maximum speed that I have had my manual at is 122. Down hill, and the wind blowing my way...........and a very long road, hehe

I have twice tested the top speed on my P5, the manual says it's limited to 197 KM/h I think. Once I did 215Km/h and once on the highway to Halifax I hit the limiter just under 225! I don't know exactly because I think it's a better idea to watch the road at that speed! Anyway it was like hitting a wall, it just shut down for a second. And this was with my winter tires and steelies on (boom07)

all i know is smaller size of the wheel....acc. faster.....but hard to get up hi speed....bigger size of the wheel acc. slower...but can max the speed......and yes i do have roof rack......it feels like it stop at a 100........haha....for nice road....im in CA when go to work in san romon....4 lane straight road for 4 miles.......not bad.....plus no on the freeway.......i think i should get a rsm....
