Hi,
Newbie here so please be kind. I have a 2001 626 with auto trans that needs to be replaced. But we were babying it until we could find one at a junk yard so we could save some money. The tran would run as long as we kept the od button off. (so we just drove in drive all the time.)
However, the other day, it just wouldn't start! We charged the battery, checked all the fuses, ran through all the gears (in case it wasn't in park) nothing! It just isn't getting any power to the starter, however there is power to everything else. The windows, radio, dashboard, etc..
So, my husband has asked me to try and see if I can locate the "neutral safety or shutoff switch" location?? He seems to think that might be the problem.
If anyone can give me any advice or diagrams etc., please do, because right now our mazda has been towed home and parked in front of our home.(bang)
