My names Andrea...I found this forum while browsing around on the net..I drive a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 which I've only had for about a month, before that I drove a Ford Escort Wagon SE which I miss but it's for the better. Now I ZOOM ZOOM! LOL

Yeah there's been a huge influx of Protege5 buyers lately. I think it's awesome that people are picking up the Protege5 because well.. it's just so much fun (first)

That red is so friggen nice, the more I look at it the more I like it.

Also I think the influx of mp5 buyers and interested future owners is b/c of the release of the mazda3 and people realizing that the mp5's were better cars and are now available for much less while still having low mileage is key. At least for me.. that is one of the main reasons, the price, the amazing reviews/ratings, and the zoom zoom factor.

I wouldn't say that it's totally better than the 3. I personally like the interior on the 3 a lot, it just looks really classy for an economy car. Plus, they have a decent bit more power stock, and are a bit more comfortable and refined.

That being said, they are also heavier, bigger, more expensive, can't handle or feel like a Protege, and are god awful UGLY (the hatchback specifically, I think the sedan is cute ).

I usually don't like red, but I think the red on the p5 looks real sharp and wouldn't mind having it myself

btw just looked again at the pic. Looks like your car was originally sold in the US and found its way in Canada...
