Hello New Protege Owner

I signed up a couple weeks ago and have been reading up on all the great information. I just picked up an all stock 02 Protege ES last weekend with 103K miles. My previous DD was a 91 Nissan NX2000 with light suspension mods (KYB AGXs, Hyperco springs and strut bars). It also had a short shifter with poly bushings. Great fun to drive but I had to get something more practical as my kids are getting older.

First mod will be getting rid of the rowboat shifter. Ordered the corksport bronze oil bushings and in the process of choosing a new shifter. I'm leaning towards the TWM unit. After that I'll be looking for a new suspension. My road is heavily potholed so I will need a conservative set-up.

The TWM shifter gets here on Tuesday. I also found a leather weighted shift knob for $20. I can't wait to put it in.
