2011 Mazda2 Touring
Hi all, My name is Paul (obviously) and I am a new Mazda2 owner. I bought the car almost two weeks ago. I traded in my beloved MINI Cooper that served me very well for nearly 8 years for my sweet Touring model. Even though it was tough to say goodbye to my MINI, I must say I am very happy and satisfied with my 2.

While I was a MINI owner I took quite a liking to autocross and track events. I reveled in the fact that I had a slow MINI amongst a slew of Evo's, S2000's and MS3's. So I am hoping to get my 2 around some cones soon and work my way up to the track again.

I'm not new to automotive forums/cars in general, so I'll avoid asking all the noob questions. I hope to learn a lot as well as get to know all of you in Mazdaland.

Welcome!
Did you get the Sport or Touring? Manual or Automatic? What color? May I also ask what you paid for it?

I got the touring model with the 5 speed manual. I really enjoy the feeling of changing gears on my own, so no automatic for me. I ended up paying a hair under 16k out the door with 0% APR and no payments for 3 months. Good stuff.

Nice, nice, and NICE. I'm looking at the manual touring myself too but I've always driven automatics. I'm just turned off by the seemingly out-dated 4-speed auto, but I still have to test drive this little sucker, so we'll see. Glad to hear there are still good deals to be had on this thing though.

I'm still amazed on how impressive this little car is. The shifter feels great and the power is on par if not a little better than my previous car. If you drive the manual, you'll get it, it's that fun.
