Hello / CAI Cost question?

Hello just got my ms3 gt in silver on July 2. Loving it until I read all the threads about the engine mount, but then saw the recall.

So I want to get the MS CAI and I have noticed some people talking about getting it from there dealer for around $300-$350 is this right as my dealer wants $450 installed. Does some know what the msrp is on these things. Thanks

you can get it from several vendors for $300 shipped.

then install it yourself. basic tools and a couple hours and you're done

I just have no time as this time of the year is the busiest for me. I make most of my yearly overtime in the next 2 months, so it is cheaper for me to pay to have it installed than not work 3 hours.

I guess I could wait 2 months but what fun would that be.

Thanks all who have responded I am going to ask them to come down to $375 installed and see what they say. Otherwise I will order it from a vendor here and install it in a couple of months.

The install is actually pretty fun. Its easy to do, and you get to see a bit more of your car. Plus, you get to know what the thing looks like underneath your bumper... and, you know the care you took when you put it in.

Not to mention you need to know how to get in there at 20k to clean the filter anyway.
