CX-9 touring, On a cold morning, I have noticed that the fan in the cabin does not come on until the car has been running for at least 5 minutes. This is not an issue in the summer. Only when 40 degrees or less, Any ideas.

Take it to the dealer, the blower motor relays always fail and it is a TSB so they should fix it free of charge.

Thanks. My vehicle has over 50K miles, would that still be covered under a warranty? Seems like an easy part to change on my own if not.

If it's a TSB, it depends on the language of the bulletin. Some only cover the issue during the warranty period. However, that seems like a powertrain issue, which should be 5 years/60,000 mi.

Isn't this a feature? My other climate control equipped cars (Hondas) the blower motor doesn't kick on until the engine is warm - who wants to get blasted with cold air when they turn on the car in the winter?

Same here djc. Heater Fan does not blow air until it reaches temperature. No reason to blow cold air like dad autos used to.
