I got to thinking today; to help avoid heat-soak, the Subaru WRX STI has a water spray attachment on its TMIC. Basically, under heavy load, you can (manually) spray a jet of water on the intercooler, which cools the metal as it evaporates. This got me to thinking about my CX-7 and whether this is a viable option to replacing the stock intercooler. I found the following article explaining the concept, but was also curious if anyone had any thoughts or has tried this.

Alternately, does anyone have an STI? Does this feature work well? Any insights are appreciated.
Thanks!
