Well he does have a point... with a header on, the whole engine bay heats up. Getting a heat shield could help keep the intake charge cooler...

i once saw some bmw 540 guys use a $10 rubbermaid trashcan as a heat shield.

so.. not a heat shield.. but a insulation wrap for the intake pipe?

just get the injen heat shield.. attatches to where the filter connects, and doesnt take up space too much... but dont understand why you'd need it cuz the cai is sooo far away from the engine bay

a cold air intake heatshield on our car is a moot point. the filter is in the wheel well
