What is up with the passanger headlight? I get a replacement bulb and the plug won't fit tightly? The last time I had to replace a bulb ( on the same side about 6 months ago) I had to take the plug apart and tighten up the prongs. We just bought the car last October. Piece of crap plug!!!!!(rant) (rant) (rant)

Funny thing, I just had to replace my passenger side headlight bulb too. I swear the harderst part was stuffing my hand inbetween the power steering and washer fluid reservoirs to get at the bulb stuff. There are a lot parts to that bulb assembly too! I actually had to read the instruction manual in order to change a headlight. (eyeballs) And damn the clip that holds the bulb in place...

What brand of bulb did you buy?

Sylvania silverstars....same as what was in there. Its a brighter whiter bulb. I wonder if this is a familiar problem on these cars?

I installed Sylvania Silverstars a couple of weeks ago and I didn't have any problems with the prongs. However, I agree with Kurt that it was really painful to get the passenger side bulb in and out. I left a substantial amount of flesh and blood in that little crevice. Good thing my hands were numb from the cold (ugh)

By the way, I really like the Silverstars. Big difference driving at night. Just keep in mind that bulb life is usually a bell-curve, so don't expect them to last for any consistent amount of time... And never touch the bulb glass!

if you think changing our headlights are hard, try changing them in a new civic. after dealing with those, i look forward to changing mine.

My 99 civic is even worse to change the bulb on the driver side. You have to remove the power steering resevoir out of the way to get to it, even then its tighter than the p5. I was just wondering if I was the only one who had problems with the prongs in the plug for the headlight.
