Header Question

Most of us thread the EGR tube into the header first then put the header on the block. Otherwise too much chance for screwing up...

What brand header is it? Tough to tell from the pic I'm guessing OBX?

Yes its an obx header. from looking at others pictures, I havent seen any OBX's that have a badge on them. Mine has a badge thats says OBX type R or something to that effect...

Some do, some don't. Either way, I've heard the badge's welds will heat up one day and the badge will mysteriously disappear...

alright everyone, hopefully I gave you a good laugh because I mauled the s*** out of my egr tube. I admit I have some frustration issues. but ill save that for counseling maybe...

Anyways I called around, and found a shop that will cut it off where its bent, and fabricate a flexible line to the header, best part is they quoted me 50 bucks on it. but we will see if it ends up higher after monday when I have the appt. I found a threaded cap at home depot this morning, and hooked it up to the post on my header, I couldnt stand my sexy car sounding like a 82 volvo. All is well now, and upon speaking to a few family friends who know about cars, it shouldnt hurt my car to run it like this temporarily. I just wanted to let everyone know in case they have run into a similar problem. My car does not idle any different, my exhaust doesnt smell any different, and even after ~100 miles of drivin today I still have no CEL on. Gracias for your help muchachos!

Before you go blow 50 bucks for a custom made pipe, have you even called the dealer for a price quote? Heck, check with captain krm p5 here on the forum, as he might be able to hook you up cheaper. If all else fails, a WTB thread may have that egr tube in your hands cheaper than you think. A shop making the pipe seems a little much to me.
