Header opinions?

I've been looking into aftermarket headers for the P5. What I've come up with is the AWR, HP Racing, and the racingmazda. The Racing mazda header I believe eliminates both converters which I don't want. But is there really a difference between the AWR header and the HP Racing header besides maybe what they're made of, i.e. weight? I plan on getting an Ingen RD intake, Racing Beat exhaust system and a header to complete the equation. The HP racing comes chrome or ceramic coated for around $200. I figure this is just a mild steel. I don't know what the AWR is made from (Stainless maybe?) but it's almost $500 dollars. Does anyone have any hard numbers after installation or thoughts either way?

please search... otherwise PM user 'Matthew' he has the racing mazda one with the CEL fix.

i'm pretty sure the HP racing header is vaporwear. ractive is releasing their header soon. it's already available in canada. both the ractive and the awr and the RM are stainless steal. seems like there's a problem right now with the availability of the racing mazda one. awr is race proven 4-2-1. the ractive is a recently developed 4-1. gains should be noticeable with both, since you're freeing up the crazy restriction from the primary cat and downpipe. since no one has dynoed the ractive, the gains are still up in the air.

good luck.

Are you saying the HP one is crap? I could understand that, there's always a reason why somethings are way cheaper then others.

HP isn't available, no one has them in stock. the thing has been "in development" or "out of stock" for about 2 years now. unless, of course, this forum has missed something this big!

get racing mazda!!! ive been waiting for 2 months! and so have 10-15 other board members :). gl with your choice though... peace - chris
