head unit opinions

I'm looking at the Alpine CDA-9831, Alpine CDA-9833, Clarion ProAudio DXZ845MC, Kenwood Excelon KDC-X869, and the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X-879. I'm not sure the differences between these, but they seem to all be similar. I'm choosing these because they are compatible with Sirius, and since I now have three different Sirius radios, I don't want to have two Sirius and one XM. Once you go satellite, you'll never go back ya know......Any help in narrowing this down is greatly appreciated. I have always liked the Alpine, they make a great quality product, but I have also been very pleased with my Clarion head-units and have had no problems with my Kenwood either, so as far as reliability goes they are all equal in my book. Thanks again in advance for any help.

Alpine 9835! If youre gonna go. Go ALL OUT! You can get them on ebay brand new for cheap! (Well about the same price as a 9833 from crutchfield).

yeah, but Eclipse doesn't support Sirius, and I don't want an FM modulated satellite radio

I have the Clarion DXZ845MC although I havent yet installed it since it was actually worth more than the car i was driving up until 2 weeks ago

I'm gonna install it this week. I have been very pleased with the Clarion HU's i have had in the past and thats why i bought this one a while back.

Guess it would come down to price since they all seem to be nice units. I'm not sure what the others cost, but the Clarion can be found for about $220 shipped these days.

Im looking forward to trying the "Music Catcher" internal memory, hope this idea catches on and more HU's start coming with internal flash memory or hard drives soon

Well.......I think I've decided on the Alpine 9831, it has 4v pre-outs which are less than the 5v on the Eclipse, but the place I'm buying it from has had alot of problems with amps not liking that much voltage and reacting weird for some reason.....Also the Clarion only has 2v preouts
