- Mazda CX-5 2013 GT
I Got myself several parts at a wreckers from a Mazda 6 including a Spare Headunit and Console with a Commander switch with a complete Car Wiring Harness, and Bluetooth Module.
I have pulled apart the loom and made up the cable that connects the Commander to the Head Unit. I have tried Placing the Head unit from the Mazda 6 into my CX5 with Luck but have run into a few issues. (Listed Bellow)
I have a few Questions if anyone could answer or input that would be appreciated.
1) Does the Commander Switch Control Volume ?
2) Is there Lights in the Commander Switch that Come On ?
Issues i have run into.
1) Head Unit from Mazda 6 does not see USB.
2) Bluetooth Error when Using Bluetooth Module in CX-5 (Still Yet to Try One from 6)
3) Commander Switch Wont Work with CX-5 Original Head Unit.
4) Figured Out that I need to Provide Constant Power to one Circuit in the Commander to Make it Scroll
5) Working Out How to Turn on Illumination.
I will be also figuring out how to pull all the data and software from the Unit in the 6 so i can try and update the old CX5 Unit.
Also if anyone knows of any suppliers i can get a new Console Section for my CX5 RHD that fits the commander that would be appreciated.
