This is my first attempt, EVER! Kinda a cool affect. What do you guys think? Any pointers?

I think it would have turned out better if it wasn't completely overcast that morning.
Everyone else is doing it.....

Adjust levels and curves in photoshop after doing the HDR.

Ah I knew there was something. I need to work on the color of the top half of it too.
