Date Has Been Pushed Back To 1-26-08. The Guy Setting Everything Up Is In The Military So They Are Working Around When He Comes In For R&r

I may attend to see what I'm pushing right now. I'm going to be building the bottom end and running a bigger turbo within a couple months and a front mount in the speed 3. I'm hoping for as close to 400whp as possible. (smash)

4000whp is never enough... a built motor and a turbo have been in the back of my mind the last few months but the cost is kinda up there

GT3071R is the turbo I was looking at. It's capable of about 450 to the crank. I don't want to go bigger because the MS3 powerband is so small and turbo lag would be a huge issue. I could do the 76R but what's the point of making 50 extra hp if it's going to take even longer to spool? I was expecting to spend about 8 grand for quality parts for the build. Standback, turbo, front mount, pistons, rods, fuel pump, clutch, turbo manifold, tune. I'm sure there's a couple other necessities but not as pricey as I mentioned above.

if your going to build it you should be able to do cams, springs and the rest of the s*** you need to spin it up pretty high. you should be able to find a good set of turbo cams to extend your power band pretty far...

hell right now im working with a company in cali to spec out my motor. im looking at spinning a stroker motor to about 7500-8000

LOL i feel ya on that when i worked for amazon racing i never wanted to put my truck on the dyno at dyno days.. we had to many 600HP cobras there i didnt wanna be the only guy to make under 400hp...

ill be making worse then that! lol might do it any way i wanna check my a/f ill get back to you all!

I wouldn't worry about it. I'll probably be going and I just have the turboback and the CAI installed right now. I took the intercooler off until the spring or until CPE comes out with their fuel pump because of fuel cut issues.
