I installed the hawk hps pads on the rears and i noticed that when i put them in place that the metal indicators that scratch when the pads are about 1/4 left are all the way at the top of the new pads. Anybody find a problem like this before? i drove it for about 3 weeks until now and they are starting to scratch on the indicators. should i just cut the indicators off? i'm pretty sur ei installed them correctly? anybody have some ideas for me about why this is? please help

Just push back the indicator.. a flathead screwdiver should do it.. I use to do it to my old grand am to get a little more out of my pads.

Just rip the indicators off. the Hawk pads don't fit our cars perfectly, and there's no harm in removing them. I did that 5 years ago on all my Hawk pads and never had a problem.

maybe this is what i need to do to my hawk ceramic pads. after i installed them i noticed a lil bit of rattling type noise. previous oem pads did not make noise
