Hey guys i figured i would put this out there. Im looking to go on my honeymoon in Hawaii middle of may 2006. I was wondering if anybody out there knows where we should try to stay. What island? What Hotel? Good things to do? Stuff like that. We will be there for 10 days so we have plenty of time. Any help would be appreciated.

when i got married we went to Waikiki... we stayed at the Aston Waikiki or something like that- whatever its called. right on the beach. its very nice. some people say that island is touristy, but i liked it. beautfiul beaches, beautiful people. don't miss the Dole pineapple plantation. :)

depends what you want. oahu is pretty busy, maui is relaxed, kauai is kinda country, big island get the volcano.

Make sure if you stay on the big island to goto the hawaian cultural center (something like that) its kinda pricey but well worth the money.. Very neat time.. going in May.. gonna be warm... We went in August 5 yrs ago and it gorgeous. Want to go back sometime in like Oct / Nov...

oh and i THINK on pretty much every island theres surfing lessons, scuba, snorkel, (pretty much any watersport you can think of). Theres also helicopter tours, alot of culture points of interest (for example on oahu theres polynesian cultural center, dole pineapple fields, bishop museum, etc.). theres plenty of things to do. i'm sure you can find alot of other activities and such through google search or maybe something like orbitz.com

i think we are leaning toward oahu. My fiance wants the nice sand and clean beaches.

HAHAHAAH clean beaches!! HAHAHA good one. :)
sorry about that.. I think you were being serious...

Oahu was the only island ive been too where the birds/pidgeons are missing feet cause all the polution gets tangled on them and cuts em off. I saw one hopping around with all this crap stuck to its leg.. all over you see birds missing toes, feet, etc.

not to mention all the tourists taking a leak at waikiki beach. stay away from the part with the breakers.

Grrrrreat. I will hide this thread from the woman.
There are nice beaches here.. much cleaner and nicer than oahu.. well.. in my opinion.. Kona side is all touristy like Oahu.. cept without the pollution..

Kinda congested though.. bad traffic cause everything is at an angle. :)

Up to you.. if you go up there, you can have the entire MSPEC crew hook you up. Post/have this thread moved into the Hawaii section.

depends which beach you go to. Kailua beach is supposedly rated #1. it is really nice, powder sand, blue water, small - no waves. perfect for a picnic or something
