aiight well i haven't posted in what seems like a shiternity... anyways.. i thougth i'd give a quick update on the msp.. anyone that knew me knew that i had warped a piston in my the msp's original motor. I had that replaced out of warranty cost about 3500 not done at mazda...
well with the second motor the car never ran right.. i constantly had to take it back... well two days b4 the 6 month warranty was up the motor blew... THANK GOD!... it sent a connecting rod straight through the oil pan.. so basically i had to pay about 400 dollars for a new pan and some other ods and ends...
so the msp is on its 3rd motor now. It was running smooth no problems.. and then BOOM! all the sudden there goes the tranny. So mazda says nope thats not covered either.. and there saying its gonna be 3500 for new tranny new clutch and installation, or 2200 for used tranny new clutch and installation..
well im gonna be looking into another alternative someone else doing it agian. rather than mazda.
im so far in the whole with this car i can't see straight. A friend of mine micheal said he saw alot of u msp'r at slammin and jammin in lebanon, tn.. he said some of you guys were on ur 4th, 5th, and even 6th motor.. but i was supprised to hear that you guys were only boosting 10 when they popped.. I was running 15 daily with the first motor and didn't have a problem till i stupidly pumped it up to 18 at nopi last year... and the second motor i was running at 12 but the motor wasn't put to gether right so that didn't last long..
the thirst motor i regret to inform im keeping it at stock boost.
just wanted to through you guys a quick update mp5raycer aka jeremy told me i should through you guys a line.
needless to say im thinking about taking the plundge and getting rid of it soon as its fixed. even tho i'll be going in the whole least i'll have a car that will work 100% of the time.. i think im stepping out of the whole car phase.
anyways just thought i'd throw you guys a quick line..
