has any one lowered their 3 with the H&R springs or Eibech springs? if so could u tell me how the handling is and some info on them? post up pictures too...
Thanks.....

Eibach has a part number but no stock yet. Cost I got locally was around $240. That's for the Pro-Kit, not the Sport-Kit.

Auto EXE springs are out for sure but are over $100 more.

Corksport has H&R listed but no price.

I'll wait for the Eibachs.

There's another thread or two running right now about this very subject.

(hi) there is a site called tirerack.com they have h&r springs for under 200..check it out..and i agree if any one with pics pleeeeaaasssseeee post...kelly...OUT!

I drove a 3 with Eibach's at Rev it up. It had springs, Bosal exhaust and Azenis on it. It handled very well..

Tire rack doesn't have anything for the 3. I just checked and got:

There are no results available for this vehicle

For the Protege's, Tein's go for over $1,000, JIC's are about $1,100 & $1,500...Definately a lot of money, but if you can afford them, they are well worth it.

Personally I'm going to wait

Honestly I'm going to wait...
If you just want to drop the car and have a good ride(I.E. not bumpy or all over the place) I'd say go ahead and get the eibachs.
But if you are serious about getting the car to handle or just want the best you can get then I'd say wait for Tein "R" or "S" series, also H&R, and JIC's to come out. Also thier base springs are just as good if not better than eibachs. Personally what I like about Tein coilover systems is that they can be computer-rideheight adjusted from inside the car ^_^, Also superior handling characteristics.
But Like I said before, unless you are actually going to be taking the car to the track or participating in roadracing, where you need the best you can get the eibachs will serve you well.

if ur in canada and maybe even the states
insurance complanies are being really gay with lowering

if u dun tell em and u get into accident.... they wont cover you... they issued a letter to me today on the "mod issue"

I don't understand?

This is a new issue I've never heard of. I would understand cut springs and stuff like that, but aftermarket springs are usually a lot better than stock ones, so in actuality you'd have a much safer car if you had to do something in an emergency, like swerving out of the way of a car that cuts into your lane for example. I believe it's just a way for them to "try" to get out of paying for accident claims and things like that. If anyone here works for an insurance agency or even works in law, I'd like to know some more information about this.

the reason why i would rather get coilovers over springs is because with coilovers, you could lower your car how low you want it and its adjustable. but with lowering springs, they only drop like an inch and cant really tell that they been dropped....lol (dunno)
