Hope you have all the right tools and a service manual for this install. Have you done this on any other car? If your answer is yes then your all set. If answer is no prepare yourself well.

You will need a torque wrench for the bolts on the pressure plate.
You will need help bringing your tranny down and lots of patience.

Good Luck!

Whoo man I'm glad I'm not you...

After my friend and I replaced the burnt-out clutch in his 3000GT SL, I can offer you a bit of advice:

1) Be patient. If you're in a rush, you will screw something up.
2) Have EVERYTHING ready before you start. He wanted to go ahead and get the tranny pulled off while we were waiting for his dad to come back with the new flywheel. We ended up waiting almost 3 hours for him to get back because of traffic
3) FWD cars suck. It was a major b**** trying to work in the engine bay and under the car. Everything is just so cramped. Be ready to scrape some knuckles and round off at least one bolt somewhere (good tools will prevent this). The hardest part of the whole deal was getting the tranny back up into the car. I had to hold the bugger while Q torqued every last bolt. :(

All in all, It's not too terribly difficult to do, but you will want to allow yourself PLENTY of time to get everything right. The last thing you want is to take off down the road and hear the sickening sound of your flywheel wobbling and scraping against the block and clutch plate. (old CRX. she had to be put down after that incident... new block = too much $$$ for what it's worth)

You have to get a punch and hammer and do some bending on the hub to get the drive shafts out. It is alot of work. Took me about 3 hours just to pull the tranny.

Congrats mike, that's a hell of a job. Of course, having a nice garage helps!

Have you scene the garage I use, check out the ground control pics that I put up and you will see the garage.

The car seems to want to get off the line without any hesitation, so I am happy.(bluemp3) (drinks)

O.K. Mike, there is just one more thing to do! Move the ACT clutch in your signature from Future Mods to your present mods!:D

Believe it or not, this is actually my second job. I have it good, especially when we have no customers, then I get to work on my car. It's so awsome(lol) (bluemp3) (flame)
