Yeah..first unbolted it..than got some soap & water..and cleaned it..then power washed it..than lastly sanded it down a little..than let dry...and paint 2 coats..and bolt right back in!VFR pilot said:did you just take it off and paint it and bolt it back on?

I don't think chroming is something you do on your own, you'd have to take it off and give it to a shop that does that kind of stuff.
