Harman Drive and Play on Tech Package for iPod?

hi!

i just got my CX-7 GT FWD with tech package and am absolutely thrilled to join the family .

i read in another forum how somebody seemed to have successfully installed the Harman Drive and Play on the tech package radio:

could somebody confirm that this is indeed possible, and if so, any tips, adivce, blogs, tutorials on how to actually do it? taking the radio console apart is quite a daunting task, and i did it successfully with my previous car (mini cooper), but would like to hear from anybody who has done this with their CX-7.

I was just reading about this as well. This "direct connect" adapter can be purchased separately to wire directly into the FM behind the bezel. A poster on another forum has the nav system and was successful with this.

I have it installed on my GT/tech. The sound quality is very good, and I have yet to experience any static or interference. I'm very happy with it, and may not even get the integrated ipod connector once it comes out since I like the control knob over using the touchscreen. It took the dealership about 20 minutes to do, and they charged me $60. For that cost, I would suggest doing that to save yourself some aggrevation.
