Was looking to hardpipe. My hotpipe is damaged and I plan on keeping the SMIC stock as of right now. So I was looking at SU's harpiping kit (SU's Product Code: SUMSPAP). Now, I'm undecided on which BOV flange and BOV to purchase. I was thinking about the HKS (SU's Product Code: 71007-AK001). I contacted SU and asked which BOV was the best for the application and they recommend the Turbosmart BOV.

"The valve we recommend is the Turbosmart which is an extremely good valve for the MSP, you cannot go wrong with that valve."

Anyone have any insight on which BOV they're using ...OR.... Have any of you bought the SU's hardpiping kit and BOV flange with BOV (HKS,GReddy,Turbosmart)??

I'd rather have performance over sound, but I wouldn't mind a good sound either.

depends wether ur goin to recirculate or vent to atmosphere if u r going to vent u have to relocate ur maf to cold side. i also asked which bov to use i was told hks check out the thread i posted good info on by other members i thnk its on the second page or first its only about a week old

they may be talking about the turbosmart dual port which is a 50/50 bov. I believe you can recirculate and vent at the same time. So that way you get the sound you want with the reassurance of recirculation at the same time.

I have the stock bpv setup with the hks v2 venting, it's really loud, and doesn't have any stalling issues, my brothers car has a Greedy bov only recirc. but it still has some stalling issues sometimes, but the best part is you don't need to adjust it at all(the HKS), and it vents even if you don't go to full boost which is nice too, I think it is the easiest setup there is and sounds really great, if you don't want to worry about it, I highly recommend it
