Hard Pipes Kill The Turk/Gobble with Forge BOV

Well I finally got me Byhondspeed hardpipes. (2thumbs) At first I only installed the turbo to IC pipe. It made a nice difference. Boost holds about .5-1psi higher through the rpms and the gobble-turk sound is completely gone. I am running a forge bov and have always had an annoyence with the gobble-pssst sound it made, now it is considerably louder, more of a sharp sounding pst and no turk. The rpms also do not drop as low after venting. I drove the car for a day with just the turbo-IC pipe and then installed the second IC to TB pipe. To my surprise there was no performance increase from the IC to TB pipe. The installation was a real pain in the ass, but it looks pretty good. (the turbo to ic pipe is easy) If I were to do it again I think I would only order the turbo to IC pipe.

Anyways, I know a lot of you guys hate the turk, so thats my way of taking care of it. I am yet to put the stock bpv back in place, but when I go to get an oil change later on next week I will let you guys know how it sounds.

glad to hear you got them on. its sad but true, the top pipe makes the biggest gain due to its all-but direct rout to the ic cutting out those other bends giving you the quicker spool up. i have tried a different ic to tb pipe and still didnt get any gains over the pipe you have now. so i kept with that one since the dealer said it wouldnt void warranty compared to the other one..

can we order just the turbo to ic pipe? i dont want hard pipes cause im thinkin of fmic or air to water, and i dont wanna spend money unnecessasarily (sp?)

well, after seeing them installed in the day light, i think i am glad i got the ic to tb pipe, looks pretty nice. Good work byohndspeed.

it will reduce the turkey....as for the the single pipe..125 + shipping...but with the gb right now, should just get them both then you would have a full set to sell later..

Can you post pics of your setup,. im interested in doing the same thing, and killing that bastard turkey for ever

jeff do you still have your begi fmic? Do you have any pics of the new intercooler pipes. I have the begi fmic but use a turbohose cold pipe instead of the begi cold pipe cus i didn't like it.

What spring are you running in your BOV and are you using any shims with it? Also, what PSI are you pushing now?
Thanks.
