Hank3's picture thread...

Went out tonight and took some more pics of the HID output with the TRS Lenses.

But first, here some other pics of the old output:

I like what you've done with the car! Very nice. But I think you should paint the fuel door cosmic blue.

One of my favorite looking Cosmic Blues for sure.

I still have the stock one so I'll probably just go back to it in the near future. Thanks for the kudos :)

where did you get those rear reflectors that light up with the headlights? i like the smoked look during the day with the red at night.

Got them from here. The GB code - Mazda3ForimSmBump - still works making it $65 shipped. You have to take off the rear bumper to install them though. Took maybe an hour. I have actually unwired them so they don't light up red at night now. It was a bit overkill IMO. They just reflect white now at night.

Yeah, it's a new - actually not opened yet. I had to find some place quick before it got too dark. It's only a few mins. away from the house :)

Some recent additions:

Painted the emblems black; powder coated the rims and stock shifter weight; got new tires mounted (Hankook Ventus V12 evo in 235/40/18); Progress RSB installed:

How far did you sand them emblems? Did you take all the chrome off and the layer after that? I just painted mine, but may purchase the front because a lot of rock chips have been really chipping some paint off.. =( . I should have sanded mine much more.

There were parts of the emblem where the chrome was sanded off but not much. I sanded them down until they were pretty rough (used 320 grit). Put three coats of primer and then three coats of paint. I tried clearcoat, but the end result was too shiny so I stripped everything off and restarted the process.
