Handgrip at slide door

I got 2 kids who ofcourse sit on second row. Anybody got experience for childrens getting out the car. I miss something like a handgrip to hold on to get out of the car. We can get on the ground easy but kids or older people will get some help getting out of the mazda5. The tophandgrip ubove head is no use. Because getting out it will be to high. But I miss something like a grip at the location of the frontrow belt. (I saw something like in the Renault espace)

Could you elaborate on what problem you're facing? We have an almost seven year old in a booster seat and a two year old in a forward facing car seat. Neither of them have any problem getting in and out of the Mazda5. Big sister opens and closes the door by herself, little sister obviously doesn't do that but she can climb in and out of her car seat by herself in addition to clambering in and out of the open door. So I'm not sure what problem you might be having.

Mine is 5 year ( and one of 2 year ) For the 5 year old, the step down form car to ground is kind a 'high'. She usually is looking for something to grap on getting out of the car and to reach the ground. Sometimes she hold on the table, sometimes she hold on the seat. And one time she held the doorgrip, that will get the door out of his grip. Something like the handgrip on the roof would be fine but than on the car next to the belt of the frontrow. I have no picture found but I hope you understand what I mean. My 5 year old also can open en close the door. Ofcourse she can climb in and out. But it's more like something luxery to have an handgrip to hold on when you get out. See it als a safety to hold on. I always have trouble getting out of a train because there is no grip to hold on. I kinda have to jump from train to ground. I see my child have the same problem. She also have to kinda jump out of the car to reach the ground

MY little girl just uses the pillar and the chair or door to get out. The 5 is really low, so I don't think a handle is really needed for most circumstances (other than older folks with back problems)

It's a lot easier than getting out of the back door of a sedan.

I saw what you are looking for at the Japan Premacy web catalog: http://www.mazda.co.jp/accessories/web_cat/premacy/premacy.html

It is under the Comfort Accessories page. I have no idea how you would order one, but I am sure there is a way. Hopefully someone can shed some light on that.

Take a look at the page

Best of luck.

Yep, this is what I am looking. I don't think I can get this in my dutch Mazda5. But still nice to see you found one.

Are the holes to mount that handle already in the Mazda5?

Man I wish they'd bring more accessories out to the US!! There are a ton of add ons from that PDF.

Not to mention to Europe. I think we got in Holland nothing to add on. Except some things we actually don't need. They sell here
