For those of you running the Haltech E6x, how did you hook up your water and air temp sensors? Is there a reason why you can't / couldn't just splice the wiring for the existing sensors and have the stock ECU and E6x share?

Along that lines, does anyone know of a seller that makes a T adaptor for the water temp sensor? I'm getting ready to install my Haltech but I don't have access to an aluminum welder nearby. As far as the air temp goes, did you all just tap your intake pipe or something else? I have an injen sri that I was thinking I'd just have taken over and welded, but that's not as easy for the water temp.

you dont want to hook up your mazda coolant temp sensor to the haltech. leave it hooked up to the stock computer. its not calibrated for the haltech and "sharing" a sensor signal is just not good. you can either buy a threaded tee on ebay that hooks up by cutting your hose and clamping inline OR you can remove the housing that bolts to the block, drill a hole and tap the threads. i chose to tap the housing for a cleaner look. just make sure to get all shavings out and put some silicone on the gasket before you reinstall to keep it from leaking.

for the air temp sensor, the easiest way is to drill a hole close to the throttle body and make sure it is air tight! ANY leaks will always cause big headaches, but boost leaks just plain suck! some people go so far to mount the air temp sensor into the plenum for even more accuracy.

I bought mine from Sam @ ************* and it did include the sensors, but I don't know if different vendors sell different kits. Sam's been tons of help with the install, but I wanted to see what other people were doing as well.

And the censoring of Sam begins lol.

Prosport also sells radiator hose adapters, you want the blue 32mm if I recall correctly. Not sure of the size, but I know you want the blue colored one as that one will best fit the hose.
