Sup everyone, new to the forum here. I decided it'll be worth joining as I scored a 2002 P5 a couple of months ago. I thought it was a good deal for 2.5 grand, as it only have 132k and stick shift

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi to everyone. Going to slowly start out with minor performance mods as I'm new to all this, and a college student so the budgets a bit on the lower end. I'll try to get started in about a month or so, with just a tune up.

Which mods did you guys start with when you first got your P5s? I mean something not horribly difficult and expensive? I have heard things like intakes and exhausts to short shifters.

I upgraded the stereo first, no sense spending much in modding it unless you want to go turbo, they aren't fast and won't be unless you want to spend 3x what you paid for it. Have fun with it

I disagree, do some good suspension work and the car will be plenty of fun

Coilovers, unless your car is winter driven, then I would go for Tokico Blues or Illumina sturts with a good set of springs. Eibach or Tein are the most popular. Also the Mazdaspeed Racing Beat sway bars or something similar will be one of the best bang for your buck.
