WOW......Is it just me or does this thing make the Turbo and BPV noises almost non existent? I was sent a few more silicone parts from ATP so I could get the pipe kit to work with the stock air box and I did. Fits real well actually. All bolts right up with no cutting of any stock parts for anything at all. **AND NO CEl in 21 degree weather***But, my forge BPV that was loud as all hell before is now dead quiet. I can not hear it AT ALL!! It is quieter than stock!! The turbo spool is VERY quiet now. Still a touch louder than stock because I have a K&N drop in and 2 big 4"-4.5" holes cut in the side and back of my stock air box lower.
So did anyone else notice how this aluminum pipe KILLED the noise? What causes it I have no clue?? Maybe the soft silcone hose connected to the BPV now insted of the hard rubber OEM unit? Maybe the fact that the inlet pipe itself is now heavy cast aluminum insted of thin hard plastic? Something did it. I could care less about noise...............the fact that it pulls like hell now is all I care about. Nothing off the line but the uper RPM range is much better. I did notice a drop off in some upper RPM PSI though? I always drop down to 10PSI by about 4000/4500rpms in 3rd (the gear I road test in from 2500rpms to 6000rpms) but it just seemed quicker now.
OK thats all.........no more noise and it pulls harder but seems to not hold boost as well..... And no......I have no boost leaks. I checked......again.....and then 3 more times after that. I always do.....O.C.D.
And no I have no PICs. I wasn't in the mood to snap pics while wrenching.
