I'm sure the paint has to have some sort of negative effect on thermal efficiency. Unless of course you used thermal paint.

There has been a lot of talk about this that i've read and not that i know a dam thing about it but, from what i read it sounds like paint does not make a difference for the intercooler's efficiency

I supposed that as long as the air can flow through the IC, you're fine. The paint is really covering very little of actual surface area.

ya, I cant see how that little bit of paint would make any diffrence in cooling.

I love it..There dont seem to be any lag that I can tell.It was 90 degrees out today and the power seems to be there even after sitting at all the stop lights going to work.Its hard for me to give a good review because I changed my AP map at the same time.I very happy because it seems to work great and it looks nice also.
