Guess I'm playing guinea pig with coilovers..

They are as low as they can get!

Still have good wheel travel thanx to short-stroke shock casing design. Nearly 2.0'' of travel still available before hitting the tuned bumpstops. 1'' higher would be perfect but lllllllllllllllllooooooooow is my style. And this is my only ricy aspect...(nana)

thanks -- and i dont think low is ricy --

cant wait for N2OInferno to get back in here with rest of his story and hopefully some pics too :)

i'm back. friggin finally. alright, here we go, long story short...

P5 takes about 50 bucks of gas to get here one way, in about 10.5 or 11 hours, depending on my speed..

U-Haul truck towing the P5 takes 20 (yes, TWENTY) hours to get here, 200 dollars worth of gas, one way..

I got some pictures guys, but I haven't uploaded them yet cause they're not how I want them. I'll put some up soon, maybe tonight, but I do gotta get some shopping done. The people that do cable internet/tv took forever and kept rescheduling so I just finally got my internet back tonight..

The B&Gs are nice as hell though. Tight ride, incredible handling.. Unfortunately, they're kinda noisy.. And I'm really not sure if this noise I'm hearing is from the "clunk" that people describe, or if it's the jack moving around from the added rigidity... They also make kind of a pop noise from the front when making very slow parking lot turns... I'll have to check it out, or have someone else check it out.. Could just be from the shop that put them in, really.. Anyways, the car, how I had it, was too low and scraped on the U-Haul trailer.. so I raised it up and I gotta re-lower it... My driveway is basically a cliff, haha.. so i'm afraid about scraping there too.. but I think I have enough clearance.. We'll see.. I'll get some pictures soon.

to bad about the u-haul gas guzzler -- but glad your there ---

when you get time to do your pics -- you should set it at about stock -- take a picture -- then set it all the way down and take a picture -- then set it at what your driveway will let you have it and take another picture -- hehehe

haha, i have stock pictures of what the car looks like with the wheels on, before i moved..
i'll probably set the car down as far as i can, maybe...
and the driveway doesn't matter... it's steep, but i can get a permit to park on the street once i get my copy of the lease to sign, hahaha.. i haven't even gotten that yet. but the landlord is apparently a really cool guy and isn't really worried about my girlfriend and I not being honest or anything. anyways, it's not like anything that couldn't happen in the driveway could happen on the street.. speed limits on my street are SLOW and it's right near/on USC campus, so there's always people walking around.. too hard to speed..

The clunk in the rear are, well, the clunk everybody have...........

The poping sound up front is your plastic strut bearings that are due for replacement... You should have them replaced in the same time you install the c/o. They fits the B+G, you just have to put them upside-down.

And this is my 5th of what I did'nt like:

5- Replace the OEM front strut bearing every year...

everyone with the b+g's has, or everyone with coilovers has?

and you have to replace it every year? i swear to god, if my jic's do that, i'll hurt someone.

damn, i gotta replace the bearings on a car that's only been driven a few months, with less than 9000 miles on it?

oh well.. let's just hope they're not expensive.

forgive the crappy ass picture taken from my camera phone... but i lowered it to how i want it today.. it could drop another quarter inch to half inch in the front if i wanted, and probably another inch or a bit more in the rear.. but the rear is already lower than the front so i'm leaving it as is..

JIC are supposed to be OK: They have pillow-ball mounts that replace the bad OEM plastic bearings...

This is the first of the 3 reasons I will switch to JIC's, the second: Damping adj. and the third: Casing adj.
