i just purchased a garrett gt28rs for my msp, i was wanting to know if it bolts up no problem, to the stock j-pipe? i have a full 3in vibrant exhaust, but a stock j for now. also i was thinking of buying the corksport pipe, will it work fine?

yes it will fit to the stock manifold and s-pipe but the turbo will need to be clocked in order for the exhaust housing to to bolt up correctly

and yes, it will work with the corksport as well.

Im under the assumption that it is using a t25 flange and not a t3 flange here...

out of curiosity.... what did you do with the stock GT25r?

and are you using the same wastegate or are you going with an aftermarket wastegate?

I wouldn't recommend using the stock wastegate. Go with an aftermarket one. The stock wastegates are prone to failing under any kind of boost.

my stock gt25 has in and out shaft play, and the wastegate is going out.

are u saying, i should change the wastegate on the gt28?

the GT28RS has an internal wastegate with all you would need is the WGA (which is prone to fail, thats what you should replace)

ATP makes a good 6psi wastegate that is a direct replacement. It can be purchased directly from ken @ protegegarage.

LMK what kind of condition your current WGA is in, Id be interested in taking it off your hands for a good price (mine has a ripped diaphram and is leaking)
