guys I ended up not even putting the lock back in :) the CF was not moulded flat around that area but it does not look that bad so I might leave it like this

So you're saying you left off the latch cover? If so, might be interested to see what you have there?

So you're going to leave the latch off? Trunk still looks all kindsa hawt, but I don't like the trunk light things kinda be left out there. I think you should do what CitizenPro (I think it was him) was going to do before changing his mind: putting on his stock latch. He said he thought that the latch blended the CF trunk in with the car. I have to say I agree with him. Looks a little better than nothing on there at all. But those are my 2 Lincolns though!! Car still looks great.

Dang, I always wondered what those white brackets were... I never used them.

Looks good man!

sense of humor my friend..

more like designed that way. how else could so many other speeds have them?

they look sexier in person by the way. we haven't gotten the chance to feel them out yet since we were waiting to get the trunk installed right. but we got it on there now and he's on his way to work now so im sure he's testing those babies out (although it is a tad wet outside so i hope he isn't takin the turns too hard)

Even vendors who have these bars had no idea what those white brackets were for :) Just chunk em.

is the carpet piece able to go back in once installed? trimming reqd?

Yeah, all is able to go back on........with trimming of the carpeted walls like u said. I was lazy, and still havent gone back to trim anything. I'm just using the "Lightwieght" excuse till i can get it done, hehe

The black plastic piece also needs to be trimed a bit. I just used a razor blade.
