Hey guys, I really want to get some gt spec parts here soon. I dont have the money to get everything at once so I want to get some opinions/reviews from people who HAVE these parts on their 3. The main thing I am looking for is what would you guys recommend getting first? What makes the biggest difference? thanks

get the racing beat sway bar set.... there reputation with mazda's are amazing...

The main parts I am looking to get right now are the 4 points ladder brace, front lower tie brace, and rear lower tie brace. I would like them all eventually but I am having a little trouble with some. Things like the mid chassis brace dont seem like they would do much.....then there is stuff like the rear v brace and rear link reinforcement panel that I think may be too expensive for what they do???? I have heard the 3 has absolutely no need for a strut brace since the strut towers are connected to the firewall (or something like that).

I just feel overwhelmed and confused with all this.....someone help?

Dude, i love my gtspec stuff. now that i have my tax $$$ i will be getting the rest of there setup. Awesome product!!!(thumb)(thumb)(thumb)

oh and fyi you can't use the front lower tie brace...that option will ONLY work for the 2.0L model. trust me i went through talking with them as well as Corksport and ONLY the 2.0L models can use it....for some reason the are a little different. i believe its because of where the tranny sits

damn, thanks for the heads up though

yeah i got my tie brace last week... not going to install it till spring as i see no point in sittin in the cold to install something i can't take advantage of with these snow tires (talk about body roll) on... but looking at the product it looks like some HQ stuff, and is light as a mofo... actually surprised at the weight seems almost to light.... ??

does anyone know of anyone who does/is planning to make a front lower tie brace for the 2.3?

yea actually gtspec is changing the new one for this year...sorry if i forgot to tell you before...if i remember correctly it should be out around april...but you could always call them and find out for sure

awesome, thanks! maybe I will just wait til that comes out to get everything I want at once

tsunami brought this to my attention in another thread but I feel this is a more appropriate place to discuss it.

He says getting gt spec stuff really is pointless until I have swaybar upgrades. I do not know a ton about suspensions, so I wanna hear others points of view. I am not saying tsunami is wrong, I just want to understand why this is a little better. thanks guys

hmm thats weird..because after i installed the parts i noticed a big difference in the stiffness of my suspension. it's much tighter when i am in corners and i like it.

and you dont have the sway bars or anything? what gt spec stuff do you have?

oh, and I emailed gt spec and they do plan to make a front lower tie brace the the 2.3 as soon as they get a car to do "a little R&D" on

yeah i would think upgrading the sway bars with a strut tower bar (depending on opinions) would be a first upgrade, then move onto the undercarraige stiffening that gt spec offers as the sway bars are easy as s*** to change out and no real fabricating/drilling needed.....

i have a strut tower bar, front and rear lower tie braces. and i am ordering pretty much everything else in a month or so.
