GT Spec Front Ladder Brace-HELP

I installed the GT Spec Front Ladder Brace (Orange Powdercoat) and it has some clearance issues. The MSP Subframe has some extruded drain holes and the aftermarket brace does not account for the required clearance. Has anybody found a fix yet? I had to torque the bolts to 82 Ft-Lbs just to seat the 4 corners. Both sides (L and R) are slightly bent because of this incorrect design.(pissed)

you do know that it does not go OVER the subframe reinforcement, but replaces it, right?

Maybe you can add some washers?

Yes, those drain holes will get in the way. Grind them down and you'll be fine.

I ground them off but the damage was done. The threads were stripped when I torqued it so I drilled them bigger and re-tapped them. Yes, I removed the original sub-plate. All is good now after a pain install. Everything turns into a project.
