Any one install the lip on there touring or sport? I saw u have to drill wholes and 2 way tape. I was just wondering if anyone has done this yet

I am about to order for my touring. So you cant just apply with 3m and move on? youve gotta drill?

I've done it on a few 7th gen ('08-'12) Chevrolet Malibus & it's really not that difficult if you apply the template correctly & use a punch to make a pilot dent so the drill bit doesn't walk. The Malibu spoilers had the bolts attached to the spoiler, so you had to drill the holes, or chop the bolts off.
Something I didn't see in the 6 spoiler install manual is to put some tape on the trunk, sticky side up, so catch any metal shavings that might get onto/into the paint.

As long as the holes are accessible from the inside (unlike the Malibu) it should be an easy 30 min max job.

I had the dealer put mine on but it is an at max 30 min job. Wish i had got mine in a different color other than black you can barely see it from some angles.

subbing.

have seen some lip spoilers on ebay, albiet in a different color. the cost to get it painted and self installation is still >$100 less than OEM in the right color. just gotta trust the color gets matched well (have snowflake white).
