so my left tweeter in the mazdaspeed will buzz now ... mostly at low freqency sections of music...its not my fault my average listening volume is 27!

any suggestions...on maybe sound setup on the headunit...or maybe better tweeters....or a component set maybe...who knows....

why make it go that high, if i cant listen to it without blowing everything up :(

eh. yeah... i know....dealership will either say a) its a characteristic of the car or b) we dont hear any buzzing

Hahah.. Word.

I was looking at my printout from the dealership and most, if not all, problems I told them about had "Operational Characteristic Of Car" in the comments.

******* Mazda.

Time to find a new dealership...

i'm sure you can find a good set of tweeters at, uh, well...Tweeter, or look up a set in Crutchfield.

i don't care what car you buy, no stock sound system, however good it may be on paper, is as powerful as anyone wants it to be.

I have yet to be disappointed with the stock MSP setup other than the sub, which I've replaced. Of course now I need a better amp to run the two JL's off of, but that's that.

This is the first "aftermarket" HU I've ever had in a car, so I'm moving up in the world.. :)

Now if I could just keep it from locking up so randomly, I'd be happy. I've been thinking it's a loose connection on the back, as it normally happens on the highway, which is a bit bumpy. Once my old dealership fixes the chassis piece that they scratched to hell, I'll see about pulling the HU out and checking all connections.

A blown tweeter will be obvious and they don't have a way to deny it.
The tweeters are the same as in any other protege.
Kenwood units tend to be distorted after 24-25 on there internal amp and if you have the bass or treble settings up then it wil distort quicker.

i like my music loud. it DOES go to like 35 doesnt it? 27 is conservative! :p

Your already going to be introducing distortion by 27, huch much depends on the music being played.

what? :p

(ironically now i have no radio anymore  so i am using a stock protege head unit. *shrugs* still plays music so it makes me happy)
