Great Turbo on my MP5

I recently got an MP5 and decided to turbocharge it. I got the kit from the guys at www.hiboost.com and I am amazed with it .

It is very professionally built. All components are the best quality available and is very good looking. Inside and out.
All parts fitted perfectly and the car runs great!!!

I dyno tested it and the results were great. 195 WHP at 7 psi with stock exhaust. The guys at hiboost tell me that with the larger exhaust and race pipe, I should get close to 240 WHP.

It is very, very fast and quick responding. It includes a pre-programed ECU, Cast iron four into one manifold, huge front mounted intercooler, aluminum intake castings (fully polished),
BOV, ball bearing turbo, silicone hoses etc.

For all you guys looking for a turbo, check it out.

I am very happy with it. I can't wait to get my larger exhaust and race pipe.

What sort of price range are we talking? The kit looks great, but I've never heard of them before. The FM and Spool kits have lots of people on this board who swear by them. If the price is reasonable I might be interested. They don't list a price on their site.

Those are some impressive numbers....have you had a chance to dyno it?

Yes, I dyno tested my car and got 195WHP @ 7 psi. with stock exhaust.

I paid $3,995.00 for the kit. I will take some pictures and post them in here.

They are new in the US market, however they have been making turbo kits for long time. The kit speaks for itself.

Charlie.

(2thumbs) Very very impressive. Will the car pass emmissions ? Are you worried about the transmission ? I have my reservations on our drivetrain ... There are several opinions floating around that it can't handle more than 200 whp.

The kit keeps one cat converter in place and it should pass the emissions test. It is not CARB approved.

I have driven my car really hard and the tranny seems fine. I even have an ACT 4 puck clutch in it.

The hiboost project car is boosting over 230WHP and they say the car is running perfect so far.

230hp??? whoa, SPOOLIN really needs to get back in town, and see whats the deal.

WAIT, is there "project car" a protege?

someone should get them on this site.

what ecu are they talking about? have they gotten past the problems at WOT? they say that it can control the fuel at all ranges.

looks kewl.

Almost 100 whp increased output of your Protege 5 (120 whp with Exhaust).

Wait a damn second, What kind of dyno do they have here, or more importantly what kind of exhaust???!!! Last I heard we dyno'd stock @98whp, If you think I'm gonna believe that ANY exhaust on a four banger can give you 22 whp your crazy!!! This is fishy! please clear this up a bit, it's hard to trust a company when they lie about they're numbers... And if they are that familiar with protege's (which I'm not doubting they arn't) they should know our internals buckle at 225, mine at 180 something. And god only knows about the tranny. I would deffinatly like to also see some non-photoshopped pictures too...

hmmmm

 :bs:  :bs:  :bs:

can you post pictures? then I lower the flag if not, flag will still be UP and moderators close this BS

The stock rods don't buckle at 225. With proper tuning our engines can hold 250+. I said proper tuning. No kit so far has a good fuel management setup.

If this kit in fact is running an ECU then yes they are probably getting 230-240 whp. I doubt it is a standalone ECU. It sounds like it may be something like an AIC, or may just be a piggy back fuel computer like emanage.

They also don't say anything about timing, so they probably haven't figured out a way to adjust timing. I will email them about the ECU.

I emailed them too...
you post what they reply and i will do it too....

i think this is serious BS so far.

And stop with the "BS" s***. If you know anything about our cars you would know it is very possible to pull those numbers with proper tuning and hardware.

I hate how everyone on here passes judgement on s*** before we have time to learn about it.

i hope you are not refering to me...
cause im the only one using the BS thing on this thread,
so, im not going to waste my time posting s***.

Im refering BS to this KIT damnit, not about the power. Ive seen the P5 doing some serious power.
